Karan Johar's differ plot or challenging society

Karan Johars Dostana 2008 is the first film in India, whose main plot is based on gay relationships. Before that homosexuality was shown only in a comic sense, mostly with double entendres. The first (and till now only) film in India which took homosexuality seriously was Girlfriend (2004/I), based on lesbian relationships.

Dostana Priyanka Chopra not Ash

Aishwarya Rai was originally offered the role of Neha, but she refused because she felt that her real-life marriage to Abhishek Bachchan would ruin the whole idea of the movie.

Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan 2 Year Anniversary

The Bachchan couple, Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan mark their second year of love and togetherness today. In this two years of span, they have seen many ups and downs in their professional life but in spite of all those they proved to be a strong supporter of one another. As the couple steps into their third year of blissful marriage, they are off to an undisclosed destination to celebrate the D-day.

At first they were to work on this special day for Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ravan’ but his sudden breakdown of health gave the couple a chance to enjoy their anniversary. They may be off to Europe to spend some quality time with each other. Though Mani freed the couple to celebrate anniversary, it was the duo's combined decision to work on the special day as they did not want to delay the project anymore and by anyway, they will be together.

Last year, they had a light anniversary as Abhi was shooting in Miami for ‘Dostana’ and Ash was busy with her work but she flew to her hubby to spend time with him. Mani’s ill heath has pushed ahead the schedule and they get a chance to have some fun.

We wish Ash-Abhi more years of togetherness. Happy Anniversary!

Karan Johar watch your language

The film Dostana 2007 by Karan Johar, originally featured a song, 'What the F**k', but then censor board of India wont allow the film to be given an U-certificate (equivalent to 'PG'), but an A-certificate (equivalent to 'R'). Therefore wherever the song had the F-word, it was over-toned by a 'scratching of discs' sound, and the film finally got a U/A-certificate.

This movie is really time and money wasting, not at all "piasa vasooli" (waste of money). Dialogues are really insulting too everyone, overacting of actors, especially Abhishek Bachchan. The songs are ok, but otherwise the whole movie is waste for everyone-for the actors and for the audience. This movie got a lot of buzz because of Karan Johar and Yash Chopra, who also couldn't save the movie
